Accepted Conditions
Understanding our condition ratings helps you get the most accurate trade-in values for your equipment.
New Condition
New equipment must be unhit with absolutely no signs of wear. Even if a club has never been hit, it may not qualify for new condition if it has scrapes, scratches, or paint chips. Clubs do not need to have the head cover or grip in plastic to be considered new.
- No scratches, dings, or marks
- Pristine face, no ball marks
- Original grip, perfect condition
- Clean shaft with no wear
- Plastic wrap not required
- Any scratches or paint chips
- Ball marks on the face
- Worn or discolored grip
- Sky marks or dings on crown
- Damage under plastic wrap
Good Condition
Good condition covers a wide range—from near-new to well-played. This is where most trade-in equipment falls. Rather than subjective grades like "excellent" or "very good," we keep it simple with one Good rating and offer top-dollar values across the board.
- Light scratches or cosmetic wear
- Normal ball marks on the face
- Grip with normal wear
- Shaft with minor wear
- Paint chips or sky marks
- Worn or faded finish
- Browning on face or sole
- Grip needing replacement
- Missing shaft label
- Shaft rust or corrosion
Poor Condition
Poor condition equipment has significant wear that is purely cosmetic. The club is still fully playable and not missing any parts like weights or ferrules. We accept these items at a reduced rate.
- Heavy scratches or dings
- Sky marks on crown
- Worn or faded finish
- Grip usable but worn
- Shaft label worn but readable
- Light browning on face or sole
- Missing weights or parts
- Cracked or dented head

- Loose or rattling head
- Shaft label missing
- Shaft extremely rusty
